Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is run by Poole and District Children's Cancer Fund. We are responsible for any personal information collected through it.
Enquiries
When you send us an enquiry through this website, we receive your name, email address, telephone number (if you give one) and your message.
We use this information only to reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to provide our services. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request, and no longer than 12 months unless you become a customer. We do not sell your information or use it for marketing without your consent.
Hosting and security
This website is hosted by a provider that delivers the site and protects it from abuse, which involves processing technical information such as your IP address and browser details on our behalf. When you send an enquiry, a security service checks it comes from a person rather than an automated program, and an email delivery service sends it to us.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics or advertising, and it does not set cookies when you browse it. Cookies are only used if you log in to edit the website, where they are needed to keep you signed in.
We use a privacy-friendly analytics service to count visits to this website. It does not use cookies or track you across other websites, and only collects anonymous information such as the pages viewed, the website you came from, and your type of device and browser.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
To make a request, contact us using the details on this website. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page.
